Thank You
Thank you so much for your generous donation and support. Your gift is greatly appreciated!
Your donation will help people with multiple sclerosis live well and have the best long-term options and outcomes available to them.
You've made a big impact in my MS Mega Challenge.
Your swim team this year completed 120 laps of the pool.
Garry Browne responded to the starter gun and powered through 4km of freestyle.
Mark Dwyer jumped in twice after arriving after 3km and freestyled a total of 2km.
Roni Corne completed activity in Canberra; arrived after midnight and kicked her way to complete 1km.
Additionally, the Sydney Rotary Cafe was available for an evening meal plus breakfast; which is always well received.
At the time of writing, the swim is short by $2118 of the $170,000 target.
Funds raised provide both Go for Gold Scholarships, as well as fund the Plus Financial Assistance Program and services to directly benefit people living with multiple sclerosis; a major feature of the MS Plus business hours help phone line.
This was the 15th swim held at Sydney following the first swim at Fitzroy, Melbourne in 2001.
Donations remain open for 14 days following each of the swims.
Many thanks for your support.
Roni
WE'RE TAKING THE CHALLENGE TO FIGHT MS!
Aside from looking forward to joining others in the fun and atmosphere on the day, we are taking part to raise funds to support people living with multiple sclerosis.
Multiple sclerosis affects more young people than any other chronic neurological condition and average age of diagnosis is 30. It can strike anyone at any time and the symptoms vary so widely.
For instance, can you imagine waking up one day unable to do the everyday things you would usually take for granted? Like not being able to see properly (or at all), you physically can’t get out of bed, can’t walk to the phone to call someone – anyone – or live a life without pain?
All of a sudden your world has changed.
By being part of this event, and because of your generous sponsorship, the funds we raise will allow people living with multiple sclerosis to access vital MS Plus Support Services. Services such as MS Plus Peer Support Groups, connecting people who are newly diagnosed with those who have lived with multiple sclerosis for a number of years, or the Plus Employment Support Service keeping Aussies living with multiple sclerosis in the work force.
Thank you again for your support.
