I'M TAKING THE CHALLENGE TO FIGHT MS!
Aside from looking forward to joining others in the fun and atmosphere on the day, I’m taking part to raise funds to support people living with multiple sclerosis.
Multiple sclerosis affects more young people than any other chronic neurological condition and average age of diagnosis is 30. It can strike anyone at any time and the symptoms vary so widely.
For instance, can you imagine waking up one day unable to do the everyday things you would usually take for granted? Like not being able to see properly (or at all), you physically can’t get out of bed, can’t walk to the phone to call someone – anyone – or live a life without pain?
All of a sudden your world has changed.
By being part of this event, and because of your generous sponsorship, the funds we raise will allow people living with multiple sclerosis to access vital MS Plus Support Services. Services such as MS Plus Peer Support Groups, connecting people who are newly diagnosed with those who have lived with multiple sclerosis for a number of years, or the Plus Employment Support Service keeping Aussies living with multiple sclerosis in the work force.

Sunday 26th Jan I’m so excited to see my beautiful friends help me reach my fundraising goal, I am absolutely blown away by just how generous you all have been so far. Thank you so much for being a part of this incredible journey I’m about to embark on. I’ve started planning a list of what to take for the 24 hours which is working out to be quite a large list of things, lots of towels 🤣

Thursday 23rd Jan With only 22 days to go my excitement levels are certainly growing, seeing the most amazing friends donate so far has been incredibly humbling and it’s giving me the confidence to reach out even further for donations, I have just posted my link on Linked In so it goes out to an even broader community. New Year New Challenge
Wednesday 1st Jan This year I’m taking part in the MS Mega Challenge as I’ve been battling this disease for 20 years. For the past 8 years I have been in remission which was fabulous being seen as a normal person, unfortunately late last year a new lesion was located in my brain thus taking me a few steps backwards, I have just started treatment again, fingers crossed it keeps the relapses at bay.
